Score Description
The Sokal score is a prognostic score for chronic phase chronic myeloid leukemia at the time of diagnosis and before starting treatment; derives from a multivariate analysis of survival of 813 patients diagnosed with chronic phase CML between 1962 and 1981. Most patients were treated with single-agenet chemotherapy, typically busulfan. Spleen size and percentage blasts were most strongly associated with survival.
