The EBMT-Score is a prognostic risk score to assess chances and risks hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for an individual patients pre-transplant. The score is comprised by five factors (age of patient, stage of the disease, time from diagnosis, donor type and donor recipient gender combination). The score was originally developed for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), but also holds true for all acquired haematological disorders for allogeneic and autologous HSCT. The Score is independent from HSCT technology and is valid for standard and reduced intensity conditioning.
